Privacy Policy

Mobimatch is a matchmaking app for Star Citizen players. Crews then meet in a private Discord voice room. This policy explains what data we process and why.

Mobimatch is not affiliated with Cloud Imperium Games or Discord Inc.

1. How you sign in

Your Mobimatch account is a Firebase account. There are four ways to create it and use it:

• Sign in with Google: Google sends us your email address, your display name and your profile picture.
• Sign in with Apple: we receive your email address (real or Apple private relay) and, if you allow it, your name. Apple does not send a picture. You can hide your real address from the Apple screen.
• Email address and password: we receive your email address. Your password is handled and encrypted by Firebase Authentication (Google): the app never reads it, stores it or logs it. A verification email is sent to you.
• Discord: Discord is not a way to sign in, it is a linked identity. We only ask for it when it is needed, that is when you post or join a beacon, because the crew meets in a private Discord voice room. We then retrieve your Discord ID, username and avatar.

Note for older accounts: before July 2026, signing in was Discord-only. Those accounts keep working.

2. Data we process

• Account data: your email address and, depending on the provider you choose, your display name and profile picture. They are kept by Firebase Authentication and used to identify you in the app.
• Discord identity, once you link it: Discord ID, username and avatar, used to create your voice room and to let you own your beacons.
• Content you create: the beacons you post (type, activity, situation, reward, number of seats, language, system) and your participation in voice rooms.
• Technical data: session identifiers and logs required to operate the service (creating and cleaning up voice rooms, security).

Beacon content is public: the app itself requires sign-in, but beacons are stored with open read access and can be read outside the app, without an account. We do not display your Discord username, your email or your picture there. However, every beacon carries a technical identifier of the account that posted it. For accounts created before the unified login (July 2026), that identifier is derived from the Discord ID. We are working on removing it from public content; until then, we would rather tell you plainly.

We do not process payment data. We do not sell your data and we never share your identity or your beacons with advertisers (see section 5 on advertising).

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Create your account, sign you in and attach your beacons to your account.
• Automatically create and clean up a private Discord voice room for your crew.
• Display the live beacon board.
• Keep the service secure and working properly.

Legal basis (GDPR): performance of the service you request, and our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure service.

4. Processors and third parties

• Google Firebase (Google Cloud): authentication (Google, Apple, email and password accounts), database (Firestore) and server functions. Data is hosted in the European Union: database in Paris (region europe-west9), server functions in Belgium (region europe-west1).
• Google and Apple, if you use their sign-in button: they send us the data listed in section 1 and confirm your identity to us. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
• Discord: linked identity (OAuth), membership of a matchmaking-dedicated server, voice room creation. Use of Discord is governed by its own privacy policy.
• Google AdMob: advertising provider. A banner is shown at the bottom of the app. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google technical identifiers (advertising ID, App Set ID), your IP address (from which Google may estimate an approximate location), your product interactions (app opens, taps) and diagnostic information about app performance, in order to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. We never share your Discord identity, your email or the content of your beacons with it.

5. Advertising and consent

Mobimatch is free and funded by a banner ad shown at the bottom of the app, served by Google AdMob.

• Your choice: on first launch, a Google consent screen (UMP platform) asks whether you accept personalised ads. You may decline: the app works exactly the same, and ads are then non-personalised.
• Changing your mind: you can reopen that choice at any time from the "My account" screen in the app.
• Legal basis: your consent (GDPR, ePrivacy Directive). Without consent, no personalised ad is served.
• What we do not do: we never share your identity (email, name, picture, Discord identity), your beacons or your rooms with advertisers, and we never sell any data.

Google's processing as an ad network is governed by Google's partner policy.

6. When you link your Discord account

When you link your Discord account, Mobimatch adds you to the Discord server of the Streamer Forge community, in a private space reserved for matchmaking. You can leave this server at any time from Discord. Until you link Discord, you can browse all the content in the app, but you cannot post or join a beacon.

7. Retention and deletion

Your beacons and rooms are temporary and cleaned up automatically. You can delete your account and all your beacons directly in the app: "My account" screen → "Delete my account and beacons" button. Deletion removes your account, your beacons, your requests, your Discord link and the associated data from our systems. It is permanent.

You can also request deletion without using the app: email contact@eqwitymind.com from the email address of your account (or quoting your Discord username if your account was created with Discord). We handle the request within 30 days.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data. Deletion is available in the app; for any other request, email us at contact@eqwitymind.com.

9. Children

Mobimatch is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you link a Discord account, the minimum age required by Discord also applies.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision.
